YOU HAVE A VOICE,
A CHOICE, MAKE THEM COUNT!
REASONABLE,
RESPONSIBLE, REGULATION
WHY ARE WE PUTTING JOBS AND OUR ENERGY FUTURE AT RISK?
  • America’s electric cooperatives and utilities provide, directly and indirectly, hundreds of thousands of the best, most stable jobs in the nation.
  • They sustain entire communities and local economies.
  • Homes, schools, hospitals, public institutions, farms, small and large businesses, industry and the very ability of the nation to defend itself all depend on a system and a grid that is the world’s most reliable and affordable source of energy.

We’re not opposed to regulation – we live here too. We want our children to live in a world that’s better than the one we have now. We support reasonable and realistic regulation and goals that provide time and flexibility in order to meet them. In short, we support regulation that makes sense and is based on logic and facts, not emotion. This doesn’t, and isn’t. Think of this, and then think of how all of it is being put at risk by regulation on coal power plants that does next to nothing to lower global emissions, yet imperils the economy of the entire country.

I oppose the EPA’s proposed greenhouse gas regulations for existing power plants because we need to balance our country’s energy needs with environmental concerns. It’s very important that we all have the electricity needed to run our lives and the economy.

These new plans to regulate power plants don’t work for my family, my community or our nation’s economy.

We need everyone’s help. Ask your friends to join us and together we’ll make sure the EPA knows we need them to listen.
